Spring Forward, Fall Back

In the past few weeks Daylight Savings TIme and British Summer Time have started in North America and the UK. Their clocks have been set ahead one hour. Here in the South Pacific we have just done the opposite. This past Sunday our clocks were set back one hour. I was just starting to get a handle on the differences in time for calling friends and family when this happened, now confusion has set in! The clocks on the right are an easy way out (computer power instead of brain power) oh well, maybe I'll have it sorted by the time we "spring forward" in September!

Autumn

March 21st was the first official day of Autumn here in Australia. After years of spending the month of March anticipating spring, green grass, crocus, daffodils and tulips, we are now looking ahead to the changing colors of leaves, the harvest of crops and cooler temperatures.

Welcome

I started tossing around the idea of setting up a blog when I first found out George and I would be moving to Australia. It seemed like a good way to keep in contact with friends and family who would be half way around the world and to share a bit of Australian culture at the same time. That seems like ages ago now but better late than never.
My hope is that this blog will grow and develop over time as I do. So come along and join the journey.....Along the Road
